“I am very excited to be apart of Nolcha Fashion Week and show my work along with other talented independent designers.”

I am originally from Oklahoma and lived in Texas for almost 10 years as well before moving to NYC. Although, I did not grow up in a fashion capital, I was never far from beautiful clothing. I grew up with a fabulous grandmother and her sisters who taught me how to sew, crochet, needlepoint and many other great skills. They were all from a generation that sewed as a means of their life. Being exposed to that innate level of creating clothing from such a young age has always been my central focus for fashion. Every dress I wore for holidays or special occasions were handmade. I grew up with the thinking that clothes were made not purchased at a store. I think that has helped create and shape me into being a designer.

For the fashion forward woman to be comfortable without sacrificing high end style.

Brand philosophy

My brand philosophy focuses on elegant silhouettes with luxurious fabrics for the fashion forward woman.

Making it happen

The collections are created with a very detailed list. I am doing each and every task from concept to samples. Staying highly organized and motivated is key. Color and mood boards keep me on track with a vision that I have. I definitely work hard, and in the end it’s always worth it.

What does New York City mean to you?

NYC is my heart beat. While Oklahoma/Texas is “home”, NYC is the answer to all my life’s desires. Fashion, energy, hard work – all of those are prevalent in NYC.
