The Nolcha Shows remain the launch pad for indie brands, offering a turnkey solution for prominent positioning during NYFW

The Nolcha Shows at New York Fashion Week just wrapped the Fall/Winter 2017 season at Artbeam Studios, featuring 9 runway shows. The platform for indie brands remains the go-to downtown destination for discovering fresh designs during fashion week.
The day kicked off with the “Ones To Watch” show at 1pm spotlighting emerging brands including
: Mariana Valentina (Arabian Architecture-inspired statement dresses),
Son Collection (Vietnamese womenswear),
Just In Case (men’s and women’s streetwear from Taiwan),
Chèlbè (made especially for tall women 5ft11+), Plantwear and Stevenson University (a collective of students debuting their take on the little black dress).

The 4:30pm Show featured two “Made in NYC” brands: Samantha Leibowitz (men’s and women’s ready-to-wear) and ACID NYC (men’s and women’s by husband & wife design duo), as well as Lavanya Coodly (where all materials are sourced in the USA and hand-embroidered in India).
The 8pm show closed with a special presentation by PromGirl and PromGuy Hosted by Randy Jackson and a live performance from rising latin star, Sammi Sanchez. The show featured “Real Teens” walking the runway including Kalani Hilliker (Dance Moms), Madeline Stuart (the first model with Down syndrome & an advocate for inclusiveness), a male ballet dancer from Brooklyn, a football player who trains Rescue K9s from Newport Beach, a teen who advocates for literacy from San Francisco, and a budding entrepreneur from Chicago.
